Chakhao Black Rice
A rare heritage black glutinous rice from the hills of Manipur, cultivated for over 2,000 years by the Meitei people. Chakhao - meaning "delicious rice" in Meitei - is prized for its deep purple-black colour, nutty aroma, and extraordinary anthocyanin content. GI-tagged in 2020, it was historically reserved for royalty and offered at sacred festivals. Nearly impossible to find outside Manipur.

Amā (अमा) - a ray of the sun. Light that travels from source to surface, unchanged, undiminished. That is the purity we seek in every ingredient we carry.
Geographical Indication tagging isn't just a certification - it's a promise that what you taste is irreplaceable. Darjeeling tea cannot be grown in Assam. Mahabaleshwar strawberries cannot be replicated in Pune. Origin is everything.

We are not a large company. We are a deliberate one. Every number below represents a choice - to source honestly, supply carefully, and grow only as fast as our farmers can.

Most food companies scale first and verify later. We chose the opposite. Before we grew, we built the relationships - with farmers, with cooperatives, with the land itself. The 3.5 tonnes we have supplied is not a small number to us. It represents every conversation, every harvest season, every batch we chose not to ship because it wasn't right.
